Car hire
Car hire is essential, as 'Quinta Esperança' is only accessible by road. There are a number of car hire companies operating from Faro airport including www.autojardim.com Also www.europecar.pt, Avis and Hertz

Road
On leaving the airport continue on the road signed N2 for SAO. BRAS DE ALPORTEL and motorway A22/IP1

Follow the N2 (it seems rather rural at this point) until it connects up with the motorway IP1/A22. You will be joining the IP1/A22 at junction 14. The first overhead sign clearly reads TAVIRA /ESPANHA and there will also be a large blue sign will read 'OLHAO/ESPANHA'. Stay on this road for approximately 28km

Exit at Junction 16 taking the first right, in the direction of SAO. BRAS DE ALPORTAL.

Passing the sign 'PREGO' and MAC'S BAR on the right, continue along this road for 2.4 km passing the sign '4 ESTRADAS'. Pass the 'DELTA' Bar on the right, over the bridge, turning right where the signs say 'CASA CAMPO' and 'MORENOS'

Take the first right at the washhouse, where the sign says 'Vidal Brito Ltd, Ceramica Artesanal' de 300 m. Cross the river bed with the white footbridge on the left.

Follow this road, passing the tile factory on the left and continue past the Green Bus and then a small abandoned cottage - (approx 1km. from the footbridge) - Take the first driveway on the left.

(It's imperative to use 2nd GEAR to climb the driveway at approx. 25 kms per hour)
